Mombo Airstrip (botswana)

Mombo Airstrip is a private safari airstrip serving Mombo Camp and Little Mombo in the Moremi Game Reserve on the northern tip of Chief’s Island in the Okavango Delta, Botswana. It is one of the most important access points to one of Africa’s most wildlife-dense safari regions.

Why it’s important



Mombo sits in one of the highest-density wildlife zones in Africa—often called the “Place of Plenty”. The airstrip is the only practical access point, keeping the area remote and low-impact while supporting high-end conservation tourism.
